Matthew Stilson
Director of Electrical Substation Operations
Matthew Stilson currently serves as Director of Electrical Substation Operations at The Hydaker-Wheatlake Company, where he leads substation construction and maintenance. Matthew oversees several crews that are operating full time throughout the Midwest, along with managing long-term, strategic relationships to construct and maintain electrical substation systems across the country.
Beginning his career as a Substation Apprentice in 1994, Matthew has worked his way up to roles including Substation Journeyman and Crew Foreman, General Foreman, Superintendent, Vice President Substation/Communications, Overhead Lines Operations Superintendent, and Substation Operations Superintendent.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Matthew is an avid outdoorsman. He spends most of his free time with family, traveling to visit his children, and enjoying quiet time.
